Introduction
In the current recession, where employment disputes are on the increase and the outcome of employment proceedings uncertain, understanding how to conduct a thorough, early investigation is essential for all HR professionals to ensure that problems are nipped in the bud and large employment claims avoided.
An important part of the investigation process is being able to ask searching questions. Most managers are aware of the types of questions to ask; however, intellectual awareness is not enough. Relatively few people can question rigorously, consistently and effectively, which is fundamental to a really good investigation. Throughout the seminar, there are a number of exercises that return to the same theme, helping delegates identify and practice the areas they need to work on.
Delivered by a trainer who regularly carries out investigations into both disciplinary and grievance matters, this workshop will help you understand and apply investigation techniques and increase the depth and quality of your organisation’s investigation process.
