Living Well With Dementia: The Strategy One Year On

Transforming services to maintain independence for service users across social care, health and housing

Introduction

As the population ages, the number of people with dementia is set to double over the next 20 years. So how can practitioners and service managers rise to this enormous challenge?

This event will cover the positive achievements one-year on from the launch of the National Dementia Strategy and how to implement the strategy effectively in day-to-day practice.

Improving early diagnosis and the quality of care provided can help people with dementia lead more independent lives. Improving the quality if care, tackling stigma and promoting dignity in all settings, will be vital if the strategy’s ambitions are to be achieved.

Our conference will work within the framework of the National Dementia Strategy, featuring best practice presentations from organisations that are putting its objectives into practice.
