What is a webinar?

A webinar, shorthand for 'web seminar’, is an interactive, speaker-led learning session that is delivered over the internet. It can either be viewed live by the participant, at which point he or she can submit questions to the speakers, or it can be viewed at a later date as an on-demand event.

What is special about LexisNexis Webinars?

As one of the UK's foremost providers of legal and taxation training, you can be sure that any LexisNexis webinar you attend will feature expert speakers on that topic.

Our webinars are not just "talking heads" but an interactive discussion, generally with two presenters and a chairman. The panel will also field questions submitted live during the debate.

You will also benefit from the additional free support material provided with the webinar, such as speaker slides, podcasts, transcripts and relevant case reports from LexisLibrary. As the UK's largest legal and taxation publisher we believe this is a service no UK competitor can match.

Gain 2 CPD points per webinar

All LexisNexis webinars are CPD accredited. Take the short online CPD questionnaire after the event and you will be credited with 2 CPD points.

All LexisNexis webinars are scheduled to coincide with the popular lunchtime training slot of 12.30pm to 1.30pm, allowing busy professionals to train at lunchtime.

What our clients have said...

"Selling point of the webinar is that it's a great means of enabling a large audience to listen from the comfort of their offices."

"Quality of content is something we have been concerned with in the past from other providers but we found the webinar passed on that front"

"It's wonderful being able to attend a seminar in one’s office without the aggravation and time spent travelling."

How long does a webinar last?

Each webinar is a 1 hour session that is broken down into three 15 minute segments, each led by a different presenter and then followed by a 15 minute Q&A session. Each webinar also has a dedicated chairperson to ensure interactive and lively debate.

Ask your question or get your point across

You can submit your questions or make your point for the Q&A panel before or during the event and we guarantee that your questions will be answered either during the event or offline after the webinar.

Review it later

Following the seminar, each 15 minute section of the debate will be available for download as a podcast, or for online review, making it easy for you to review the sections you need and share information with your colleagues. This service is also available if you find on the day you are unable to attend the webinar.

Who should attend?

Webinars are highly flexible and suit the requirements of busy professionals who require training or advice from highly experienced fellow professionals, but who do not want to take time out of the office to travel to a meeting or conference.

Concerned you may not be able to view a webinar?

Some people are concerned that they may not have the right equipment to view a webinar. However, in virtually all cases you will have.

To check you can receive a live video stream prior to viewing a webinar click on the following link http://www.lexiswebinars.co.uk/test-your-system

In some cases your company's IT department will have restricted what type of content can be downloaded to your machine. This will be apparent from the test, and you may need to contact your IT department to have restrictions temporarily lifted.
